Very nicely drawn design with various floral vases, perching birds and delicate floral tendrils around cusped floral medallion with pendants. In rosette, arabesque and hooked leaf open palmettes between flowering vine and plain stripes. This rug has full pile, soft silk quality and is in very good condition throughout. Very fine weave, approx: 8 x 8 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation.. Ends with short fringes, secured. Selvages original. Very elegant piece.
