A VERY FINE TRIPTYCH SHOWING THE ANNUNCIATION, THE DEISIS AND SAINTS Greek, 16th century Tempera on wood panels with carved frames. The central panel shows Christ enthroned with the open Gospel, flanked by the Virgin and John the Baptist in supplication. The upper part of the left leaf displays St. Nicholas, and the other one shows a saint in bishop's attire. The lower part is occupied by equestrian Sts. George and Demetrios. The closed wings showing the Annunciation. Auf den Außenflügeln in feiner Malerei ausgeführte Darstellung des Erzengels Gabriel, der Maria die Botschaft der Schwangerschaft überbringt. Das Mittelfeld im Inneren zeigt den auf einem Thron sitzenden Christus, der von der Gottesmutter und Johannes dem Täufer flankiert wird. Auf den Flügeln erscheinen zwei Heilige im bischöflichen Ornat sowie die Heiligen Georg und Demetrius. Kanten teils best., min. rest.
