A very rare pair of navy officer's flintlock pistols
dating: Second half of the 18th Century provenance: Tulle, Round, smooth-bore, 14 mm cal. barrels, with moulded muzzle; one pistol with lock on the right and one with lock on the left (very scarce), both signed 'Molet a Tulle', wooden, three quarters stocks, with butts shaped as dog's head (so called 'A tete de chien de mer'). Iron mounts, belt hook and ramrods. length 27.5 cm.
