A very rare pair of percussion pocket pistols

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: France, Round, rifled, engraved, 11 mm cal. barrel, with fore-sight; frames finely engraved with floral motifs, upper band with rear sight and mark with monogram 'RC' (Cusson & Rossignol) in the center with inscription around it 'BREVET D'INVENTION SANS GAR.IE DU GOUV.T'; lower, engraved cocks, almost rectangular, ebony, grooved butts, butt-plates with iron, screwed ramrod. length 15 cm.
