A VICTORIAN BANDED AGATE, SPLIT PEARL, DIAMOND AND ENAMEL MOURNING BROOCH, the round banded agate, set to centre with an old mine cut diamond, estimated approx. 0.25cts, collet mounted with an outer band of black enamel set with split pearls, set to reverse with a glazed keepsake panel containing hairwork with filigree decoration, inscribed to lower edge, 'H.W. 1833 1857 1880, PSALM XXV 10.14', in unmarked yellow metal, (tests as approx.14ct gold or better), 32mm diameter, (18.2g), in later Tessier case
Condition Report: Agate has small hairline to one side (just eye visible), a couple of small chips to some point of outer mount. Minor abrasions throughout to front and reverse, consistent with age and wear. A little grubby throughout and would benefit from a clean.
