by Horace Woodward & Co Ltd, London 1898, of plain rectangular form, wood lined and weighted. 21.2cm by 11cm by 8.5cm
Hallmarks are rubbed although maker's marks are clear, no play in the hinge however the lid doesn't close flush, a couple of small dents and surface wear but overall in a condition commensurate with age and use. Possibly previously engraved to the lid as very faint remnants of an inscription.
