After a 1743 model by Paul de Lamerie, the domed base and baluster cup richly cast and chased with putti amongst grapevines, bacchic masks and lion heads, twisting vine handles, the domed cover chased to match and with grape bunch finial, the base rim engraved À L'AUTOMOBILE CLUB DE FRANCE, SOUVENIR DE SIR DAVID SALOMONS, interior of cover engraved The original model of this Cup was made by Paul Lamerie, marked under handle and underside of cover and with French import marks
