A VICTORIAN SILVER-MOUNTED GLASS NOVELTY DECANTER
by Hukin & Heath (John Thomas Heath & John Hartshorne Middleton), Birmingham 1896, in the form of a champagne bottle, the plain clear glass body mounted with a silver collar, the hinged cover in the form of a champagne cork. 34.5cm high
Glass is in good condition. Hallmarks to the outside are rubbed, a couple are still legible. The marks to the interior of the cover are clear. Around the neck of the bottle the seam of where the silver has been soldered when mounting is visible, several small dents, the cork is intact.
