by John Samuel Hunt, London 1849, of straight-sided tapering form, the handle fashioned as a branch, chased with fruiting vines, with a vacant cartouche, no. 4259, stamped HUNT & ROSKELL LATE STORR MORTIMER & HUNT. 8.2cm high, 5.7 troy ounces
The marks are clear. The foot rim is a little misshapen, but the mug stands well. The decoration is crisp. The gilding to the interior is lively. In generally good condition commensurate with age.
