A VICTORIAN SILVER SUGAR BASKET
by Edward, Edward junior, John & William Barnard, London 1846, of tapering cylindrical form with a die-stamped foliate scroll and flower head rim and swing handle, all raised upon four die-struck rocaille feet, the body of the die-struck oak branches with acorns, with a vacant asymmetrical C-scroll cartouche with rocaille to the side, fitted with a removable cranberry glass liner. 16cm high overall, 7.3 troy ounces (excl. glass liner)
The hallmarks are clear. Solder repair to the handle above one bracket. The end of one wire is unattached. Tiny split in the rim. The glass liner is in good condition.
