A VICTORIAN SILVERPLATED AND ENGRAVED TWO HANDLED TRAY, BY JAMES DIXON & SONS, SHEFFIELD, SECOND-HALF 19TH CENTURY, of shaped oval form and a rope-twist cast rim interspersed with curling strapwork and foliate pendants, flanked by dolphin entwined arched handles centering a finely engraved base of leafy swirling floral vines, stamped with five shields of J, D, &, S, PN/S, verso an octagonal silver label of Queen Victoria's royal warrant over "JAMES DIXON & SONS / SHEFFIELD," left side impressed "359" adjoining a small crown, raised on compressed bun feet.
