A VIETNAMESE/ANNAMESE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN KENDI, SHIPWRECK ARTIFACT, LATE 15TH/ EARLY16TH CENTURY, of compressed bottle form with sides painted as a spread winged bird landing amidst stylized scrolling vine with lotus and peony blooms, before a mammiform spout centering a flying duck amidst scattered flowers ending with painted eyes and ruyi detailed spout tip, beneath a short cylindrical neck centering a diapered band and flaring to a disc form rim with raised ring mouth encircled by stylized flower petals.
