Lot Description:
A Very Pretty Early 20th Century Mother-of-Pearl Fan, in shades of green and pink (burgau), the leaf with cream background net, overlaid with cream silk cut out in places to reveal the net layer. The silk panels alternate in width, and are painted or sequined, narrow panels with blue sequins in bow shapes, wider panels with delicate flowers in pastel shades of blue and pink. All panels have borders of embroidered sequins and a double border along the top and sides enclosed a further row of flower head spangles. Mounted à l'Anglaise with bone ribs. The verso is plain.
