A Victorian 14kt gold, diamond, sapphire and Oriental pearl rosette brooch.
Pierced rosette design set with 98 cushion-shaped old-cut diamonds (ca. 1.98 ct in total) and seven round royal blue sapphires (ca. 2.1 ct in total). Set in the centre with a drilled white saltwater pearl with light grey lustre (diameter approx. 8.50 - 8.83 mm) and two small pearls (diameter 4.7 mm, saltwater pearls, tested in the mount, probably also natural). Can also be worn as a pendant with original detachable brooch mount and retractable pendant bail. Not hallmarked. Diameter 3.5 cm. Weight 16.18 g.

Test report KSB5098 of the DSEF (German Foundation for Gemstone Research) dated 20 January 2021 with attachment, confirming that the middle pearl is a natural saltwater pearl and that the two set pearls are probably also, insofar as can be determined in mounted condition.
