Of highly polished steel, comprising breast- and back-plate lined in red leather, each with leather-covered border and blue velvet pickadils, the latter secured by large dome-headed brass rivets, leather shoulder-straps faced with overlapping brass scales and each with two-position brass clasp embossed with crossed branches of laurel, waist-belt and crossbelt of foliate train lace, the latter with flap-pouch of patent black leather (some crazing), the flap with gilt-metal crowned regimental badge and battle honours against red velvet, and gilt braided aiguillettes of the Royal Horse Guards: on a modern torso-shaped dummy covered in red fabric and mounted on a wooden stand
