A Victorian Etruscan Revival gold, garnet and enamel, shield form brooch, c.1860,
a raised central oval boss with an oval cabochon garnet, rub set to the centre with a fine twisted wire border. A frame of white champlevé enamel with gold daisies, rows of twisted wire to an outer row of graduated gold beads. Glazed locket verso with concealed pendant hook, pin and 'C' catch. Tested as approximately 9ct gold, 44 x 39mm

Condition report:
Dents to four of the hollow outer beads.
Slight tarnish to gold in places.
One surface reaching inclusion to the garnet.
Minor damage to the edge of the enamel.
Two sections of twisted wire deficient.
