A Victorian Scottish Silver Condiment-Set and a Victorian Silver Condiment-Set, The First Maker's Mark Lacking, Edinburgh, 1879, The Second by Charles Boyton, London, 1881, the Scottish example with three silver vessels, the other example with two with silver-mounted cut-glass bottles, 16cm high and smaller; Together With two silver-mounted glass bottles (qty)

The Scottish set fully marked on frame and further part marked on mounts and inside covers. There is some wear to the marks. Overall there is some minor surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some very minor chips to the glass. The Boyton set marked as expected. There is some wear to the marks. There is some overall surface scratching and wear as well as some bruises. The glass bottles with some scratching and wear. The lids on both are detached from the bodies and with some chips and a cracks to the top of the bottles, under where the mounts should be fixed. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition. A Condition Report is an honest expression of our opinion, not a statement of fact and is provided as a service to the seller. All lots are available on public view ahead of an auction and we encourage prospective buyers to inspect an item in person where possible.
