A Victorian Silver Christening-Mug, by Thomas Smily, London, 1866, centrally waisted and with beaded borders, with leaf and beaded scroll handle, engraved with foliage and a vacant cartouche, 90mm high; Together With a Victorian silver cream-jug, by George John Richards and Edward Charles Brown, London, 1866, tapering and incised with lines, with angular handle and short beak-form spout, engraved with presentation initials, 85mm high, total weight 8oz 15dwt, 272gr (2)

The christening-mug fully marked near rim. There is wear to the marks but in general each is legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The cartouche has probably been erased and the surface is slightly uneven in this area. The cream-jug fully marked near rim. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is a bruise to the foot. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale.
