A Victorian Silver Cup by Benjamin Stephens, London, 1841

Fully marked near rim. There is some wear to the marks but they are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some bruises to the base. The gross weight including the filling material is 835gr.

tapering and with lobed lower body, on spreading foot, chased with foliage and flowers, centring on one side with an inscription to Viscount Chetwynd, the base filled

18cm high

The inscription reads 'Presented to Lieu't Lord Viscount Chetwynd of the F Troop of the Queen's Own O.Y.C. by the non commissioned Officers & Privates as a Token of their high esteem September 1841'.
