A Victorian aesthetic movement white metal locket, with engraved swallow, butterfly and reeds to the front, and framed fern leaves to the back. With fixed bail and suspension loop. Length excluding suspension loop, 45mm. 11.8g.
Condition Report: Opens and closes with click, and closes flush. Tarnish throughout. Fixed bail has snapped and has been pushed closed, and suspension ring is misshapen, though still functional. Two crudely soldered metal stars to interior, possibly applied to strengthen the locket walls and prevent denting. One interior frame present. Wear to surface as expected, slight denting, but none deep.
