A Victorian & later silver matched four piece tea service.

A late Victorian silver matched three piece tea service, comprising teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of circular bulbous form with beaded rim above a stiff leaf border and reeded decoration to the lower body, with further reed and foliate detail to handles, hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), Sheffield 1891, cream jug London 1891; together with a later hot water pot of similar design, hallmarked Sheffield 1911, same maker. Maximum length of teapot 10" (25.5cm), and height of hot water pot 8" (20cm), gross weight 58.38 ozt (1816 grams).

Condition Report:
- Appears in fairly good overall condition, all displaying general expected surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.
- Also displaying some tarnishing, heavier to some areas. Interior of teapot with staining.
- Inset lid of teapot appears in good working order and closes flush. A couple of minor edge nicks to tip of spout. Residues of sticker to body.
- Hot water pot with creases in the metal of the lip. Hinged lid rises slightly when closed.
- Tea and hot water pot handles with ivory insulators.
- Cream and sugar with gilt interiors.
- Hallmarks all clearly legible with some light rubbing.
- Corresponding part hallmarks to handles, lids and finials of tea and hot water pots. Teapot finial with London assay office mark.
- All with matching impressed pattern number to base, 9558 over 5.
