A Victorian cabochon garnet brooch with pendant drop, of ornate scroll, bead and foliate form, from deeply moulded pressed sheet metal (tests for gold), collet set to the centre with an oval cabochon garnet, and four smaller garnets at the cardinal points, suspending swags of fine spiga link chain, and two more lengths holding a drop shape pendant of similar scrolling form set with a pear-shaped cabochon garnet; pin replaced (not gold); length 9.6cm, width 5.2, gross weight 13.8g
