A Victorian gold and turquoise snake bracelet
A Victorian gold and turquoise snake bracelet, of ouroboros form, the body comprising a series of articulated links modelled as coiled snakes, the scrolling-chased head accented with graduated circular cabochon turquoise, to rose cut diamond eyes and a bifurcated tongue. The head clasp suspending a similarly set heart shaped locket, with a glazed panel to verso. Tested as approximately 18ct gold, 32.90g Provenance: Maurice 'Dick' Turpin, Barons Keep, London W14. Condition Report: surface scratches to the gold and minor wear to the cabochon turquoise commensurate with age. Most stones are well matched in colour.
