A Victorian gold garnet and enamel hinged bangle, c.1860,
with an oval centrepiece. An oval cabochon garnet, rub set to the centre with a white enamel dot border. Stepped scalloped sections with a matching row of white enamel dots, applied gold beads and a twisted wire frame. A tapered top half with an applied dome and twisted wire boss to each side, all to a bloomed ground, with a concealed box clasp. Tested as approximately 9ct gold. Centrepiece 32mm wide, interior dimensions 55 x 45mm, 15.61g
