A Victorian seed pearl and enamel memorial brooch

A Victorian seed pearl and enamel memorial brooch, the central boss with a cluster of seed pearls over a guilloché enamel ground, to a seed pearl surround and an outer frame further embellished with turquoise enamel scrolls. Inscribed to verso 'In memory of Rosetta Magnus, obt 19th Nov, at 65. Presented to Susan Shaw by E.D.' In unmarked gold mount with glazed panel. Pin and later catch. 37mm diameter, 15.21g Provenance: Maurice 'Dick' Turpin, Barons Keep, London W14. Condition Report: Overall good condition for its age. Small gas bubbles to the guilloche enamel and minor pits to the turquoise enamel scrolls. The original C catch was replaced with a later roller catch. The pin needs to be pushed into to lock.
