A Victorian signet ring

A Victorian signet ring, with scrolled decoration, centred with a navette-shaped hardstone panel (damaged), 15ct gold mounted, hallmarked for Birmingham 1873, ring size P
The hardstone panel is cracked in several places and requires replacement. The mount has a dark solder repair to one shoulder, a faint solder join to the other shoulder, resizing solder joins to the back of the shank and areas of porosity, with heavy wear throughout. Engraved decoration to the head and shoulders is heavily rubbed. Marks are clearly struck. Maker's mark is rubbed, possibly 'F&P'. Gross weight approx. 7.5gm.
