Alejandro Vigilante (Argentinian, born 1964). Large acrylic painting on board, an ironic pop art representation of American actor Steve McQueen (1930-1987). Influenced by Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg, and referred to by the artist as "i-Art," the work depicts an imagined email message that the figure might have sent in today’s networked culture. Signed and dated A. VIGILANTE 07 to lower left. Additional artist paint and, in black Sharpie, hand written signature A. VIGILANTE 2007 to back. Painted to sides.
