A Vintage Selected Willow Pakistan Cricket Bat.

A vintage cricket bat manufactured in Pakistan from willow. The bat features a traditional wooden blade with a perished black grip applied to the handle. The face of the blade is impressed with several markings: two stamps reading SELECTED WILLOW flanking a large numeral 3; a partially legible incised inscription reading TREBLE SPRING; a central brand name where the letters D, U, N, and Y are visible; and a lower stamp reading MADE IN PAKISTAN. Three five-pointed stars are incised horizontally across the lower section of the face. The reverse of the blade bears a heavily worn paper label with printed text including SUPERLATIVE IN QUALITY STYLE & FINISH and PAKISTAN. Below the label, a faint cursive brand name reading Leader is impressed into the wood.

More Information

The bat shows extensive signs of age and heavy use. The handle grip is severely perished, showing widespread cracking, peeling, and loss of material, particularly at the shoulders and the top (photo 1). The wooden blade displays heavy staining, surface abrasions, and numerous small indentations consistent with ball impact marks (photo 3). A significant vertical crack is visible at the shoulders, extending downwards towards the centre of the face (photo 4). The paper label on the reverse is torn, incomplete, and showing significant loss of printed surface (photo 7).
