A Visor Cap for Allgemeine SS Enlisted/NCOCap body in black tricot wool, black tricot wool cap band, white wool piping, two-piece black leather chinstrap with black metal buckle at centre, attached by two black painted smooth buttons. Silver finished metal eagle and skull, black lacquered visor with brown checkered underside and black SS/RZM stamp. Grey artificial silk lining, impressed gold foil runes and size "56" underneath intact moisture shield. Brown leather sweatband, black oil cloth RZM tag underneath, Weissbach in Glachau/Sachsen manufacture, ca. 1939-1940. Weissbach manufactured hats for the NSDAP, this example is representative of the final era of Sonderanfertigung caps. Excellent to near mint condition.
