A WALNUT AND UPHOLSTERED STOOL LATE 17TH/EARLY 18TH CENTURY The embroidery panel to the seat cushion 18th century 48cm high, 40cm wide, 38cm deep Provenance: Private Collection, LondonCondition Report: The timber elements with marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old splits and chips. All seat rails are later replacements. All feet with splits/cracks - see images for extent. Some areas of knocks/gouges to timber - see images. An old but later nail is used to the side of the stretcher to help secure. Upholstery in generally good order overall with it has some minor wear, 'pulls', opening of stitching in places, and some fraying to the tassels. The embroidery panel to the seat cushion in generally good order overall with just some minor wear, discolourations, and fraying/loose threads to edges.
