A WHITE JADE 'PEBBLE' SNUFF BOTTLE
18th century
Of natural pebble form, the stone of a whitish tone with faint russet patches, all finished with an attractive soft matte polish, the ivory stopper carved as a branch.

He was also President of BADA in the mid-1970s, Chairman of the Grosvenor House Antiques Fair, the first Chairman of the ceramics course at West Dean and the first Chairman of the Museum of East Asian Art, Bath.
