William Parker is recorded as working at 233 High Holborn circa 1794 through 1841. Blunderbuss pistol measuring approximately 1" across the bell. Manufactured without sights. Octagonal barrel with turnings to smooth flaring at the barrel with turned cannon muzzle. Action signed with W. Parker and Holborn address in stands of arms. Birmingham proofmarks. Slabside walnut grip. English push on safety at tang. Ramrod, possibly the original, mounted in dual ferrules. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel possibly polished long ago as Birmingham proofs are soft. Action engraving crisp. Slabside grip is very good with a few pressure marks and bruises acquired over a lifetime. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand.
