Manufactured in 1896 according to Madis. Fitted with a blued 26" nickel steel barrel chambered in .30 WCF with sporting sights and full length magazine tube. Desirable takedown frame. Plain 2-piece walnut stocks with steel nose cap and crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very good for its age. Traces of original blue present in protected areas, the balance a dark gray patina. Magazine tube retains more significant portions of blue. Stocks appear cleaned with some scattered marks. Bore shows strong, well defined rifling. Fine mechanics.
