A WOVEN CARPET PROBABLY BOKHARAApproximately 286cm x 260cm Provenance: Supplied by Robert KimeCondition Report: Significant wear overall as illustrated. Wear reveals underlying weft and knotheads throughout. Some areas of wear have resulted in holes to the central field. Various sections of the main filed with re-woven/repaired elements. Various old stitched repairs (see images for details). Fringing is trimmed short at both ends and has wear, losses, and fraying. The fringing has moved into the guard stripe at both ends of the carpet and has been re-secured with later thread.Longest edges with wear, undulation, and some sections of loss.
