A WWII Longines Air Ministry pilot's manual wind military wristwatch.

Circa 1943, the signed dial with arabic markers, outer minutes track and blued steel hands, cal. 12.68 N 16 jewel manual wind movement signed and numbered 6567578 within a stainless steel and chrome plated snap-back case numbered 22 5, 22429, 1022, and marked 'AM 6B/159 5094/43' to case back, case diameter 32mm. Vendor's father served in the Royal Air Force in WW2 and returned his government issued watch at the end of the war. Shortly thereafter, he was offered the opportunity to purchase this Longines 6B/159 issue watch. The piece has remained in the same family ever since.Condition Report Overall condition fair to good Watch working at time of cataloguing, Wilson 55 does not guarantee the working accuracy of any timepiece offered Glass with scratches in keeping with age and use, some slightly more pronounced scratches over 2 Case - discolouration and tarnishing, particulatly to chromed alloy case sides Marks clear and legible Dial in good overall condition, some typical foxing and patina, a small mark between Longines text and 12 marker, visible with the unaided eye Some tarnishing to blue steel hands, light and visible only with magnification Please register to request a condition report
