Wakmann Watch Co., New York, a ref. 9804 "Regate" automatic wrist chronograph, 17 jewels, automatic winding rhodium plated Lemania cal. 1341 movement with lever escapement in a gold plated tonneau case set with three faux diamonds and with a yellow leather strap, baton marker, brushed champagne dial with date aperture at 3:00, hour register at 6:00, constant seconds at 9:00, and central elapsed minute counter, with concentric date ring, rotating day of the week display, and tachymetre scale, gold plated hands, 42mm x 47.5mm
Condition Report: CASE: Dings and pin pricks; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Losses to plating; Faux diamonds and settings later additions; Crown lacking gold shell; Gold shell on tops of pushers worn through; Acrylic crystal with chips and edge cracks; Case back with scratches and with information crudely engraved by a previous owner; Strap good. DIAL: Small areas of fine scratching, lacquer loss and minor discoloration at lower left corner of date aperture and right upper quadrant of hour register. HANDS: Losses to plating and minor oxide; Tip of chronograph hand repainted. MOVEMENT PLATES: Rotor weight with oxidation; A few very fine scratches on plate; Very dirty. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks); Date advance functional; Quick set not functioning; Needs service. COMPLICATION: Functions properly, circa 1975
