A White Glazed Porcelain Archaistic Stem Bowl and Cover, Dou
GUANGXU PERIOD (1875-1908)
清光緒 白釉仿古紋豆rising from a spreading pedestal foot with a raised collar to a globular body with conforming lid, finished by a round finial. The body incised with archaistic motifs and covered in a milky glaze.
Height 10 in., 25 cm.
Chinese Decorative Arts
The vessel likely once had a Guangxu six-character incised mark but was erased. A small chip to the rims where the bowl meets the cover. Otherwise in very good condition.
