A William III brass lantern clock, circa 1700, unsigned, the pierced fretwork pediment above a 7-inch Roman chapter ring, with a weight-driven birdcage movement striking on a bell, mounted on a carved oak wall bracket decorated with a lion (17.5cm wide, 15cm deep, 30cm high, bracket 54cm high)

Condition Report: Case with general wear throughout to include corrosion, commensurate with age and use. Brass dial with mild to moderate tarnishing and discolouration throughout. Face plate is slightly loose when pressure applied but securely affixed nonetheless. Sits securely on wall bracket, albeit at an awkard and slightly distorted angle - care advised. Some evidence of worm to bracket, probably active. Bracket with various cracks and abrasions, etc. Includes four weights and pendulum. Movement not tested - professional evaluation is advised.
