A William IV 18ct gold old-cut diamond, split pearl and black enamel mourning ring. Dedicated to John Hill who drowned at sea on his passage home from the West Indies, aged 27. Hallmarks for London, 1832. Ring size L. 4.9gms. With case.

Condition Report:
- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Personal inscription engraved to ring.
- Band shows evidence of repair/ resize.
- Possible glazed panel to reverse deficient.
- Diamonds well matched.
- Diamonds fairly bright and fairly lively, light inclusions, few nicks to facets.

- Split pearls are well matched, cream body colour, with pinkish-green overtones, in good condition, few minor nibbles to nacre.
- Black enamel is in good to fair condition with some surface abrasions and minor nibbles / few chips to the edges.

- Length of ring head 1.5cms.
