A William IV Irish silver soup ladle, in Fiddle pattern with long rat-tail to heel and engraved family crest to terminal depicting the upper body of a unicorn atop a coronet, hallmarked Charles Stewart, Dublin 1831, length 13" (33cm). Together with a meat skewer of typical form and engraved with a similar crest, maker's mark only visible, indistinct, length 10.5" (26.5cm). Gross weight 8.6 ozt (267.3 grams). (2).

Condition Report:
- Both in used condition, displaying some tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches throughout.
- Soup ladle - Rim of bowl is a little misshapen. Surface displays some bumps and a couple of minor shallow dints. Many little scratched marks and surface nicks visible, especially to the inner bowl. The rat-tail to the reverse is somewhat flattened with loss of definition. Knocks to the curved terminal so it is a little more pronounced than normal. Hallmarks located to reverse of terminal, a little rubbed but still clearly legible. Also with a partly worn engraved name alongside, probably reading 'Stewart'
- Meat skewer - In poor and tired condition. Numerous deep scratches and nicks throughout. The whole is slightly bent and the tip now fairly blunt. Maker's mark only. Tests at 93.4% Ag.
- Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of silver unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
