A William IV silver straining spoon, in Fiddle pattern with initial engraved terminal. Hallmarked William Theobalds, London 1832. Length 12" (30.5cm), gross weight 5.38 ozt (167.2 grams).
Condition Report:
- Appears in fairly good overall condition.
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Some minor surface nicks and 'pitting' marks throughout.
- Some slightly heavier wear around the edges.
- The pierced strainer section fitted to the centre of the bowl has slight movement as one of the fixing pins is a little loose and needs to be tightened.
- Residue of sticker marks to reverse of bowl.
- Some crudely scratched numbers at base of stem, in between shoulders on reverse.
- Hallmarks located to reverse of terminal, these slightly rubbed but clearly legible.
