A William IV silver teapot.

A William IV silver teapot, of compressed circular form, the plain body with acanthus capped handle having ivory insulators and a hinged lid surmounted with a chinaman finial, and the whole raised on foliate shell and scroll feet. Hallmarked John Evans II, London 1834. Maximum length of teapot 10.25" (26cm), gross weight 21.05 ozt (654.6 grams).

Condition Report:
- Displaying some surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and general use.
- Some minor surface dints and bumps.
- Some minor knocks and cracks around tip of spout. Possible repaired split.
- Residues of a sticker mark to top of teapot.
- Hinged lid appears in good working order and closes flush. Possible repair to head of finial.
- A little bit of damage to the ivory insulators and the fixing pins of handle.
- Crack around the lower join of handle to main body. Slight impression visible to the interior.
- Impressions from hallmarks also visible to the interior.
- Hallmarked to base, these clear and legible.
- Also part hallmarks to handle, lid and finial.
