A William IV sterling silver snuff box, Birmingham 1836 Edward Smith Of rectangular form with chased rims and reeded sides, the lid with an ovolo edge. The lid centred with a rectangular cartouche, naively engraved H.?.W.B REPRENTED W.J, otherwise with engine turned decoration. Gilt interior, interior engraved to the lid with a presentation inscription reading “The Gift of George Duncan Esqre 16th Jany 1839”. Fully marked between lid and base. Length – 7.4 cm / 2.9 inches Weight – 89 grams / 2.86 ozt
