A William & Mary walnut, ebonised and marquetry decorated wall mirror, circa 1690, the rectangular plate within a cushion moulded frame decorated with floral and foliate motifs, 96cm high, 79cm wide

Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old chips and splits. Some depletion and grey spots to mirror plate. Some evidence of old worm holes with filler used to help disguise in places. Some small repairs to areas of marquetry. To the rear there are apertures for a cresting that is now lacking. The backboard has age but we cannot guarantee it is original. Later supporting strips of timber to the rear of the panel. Hand bevelled mirror plate is possibly not original but has significant age.
