A YATAGAN

Nice, slightly curved, single-edged blade, with a long, gilded cartouche on the right side, with inscriptions in Arabic, a smaller cartouche on the left side, with other inscriptions, and a circular stamp. Silver grip (damages and parts missing), richly decorated with filigree, with walrus ivory grip scales and small ears. Wooden scabbard with remains of leather covering, chape (repaired at the cusp) and cap decorated with flowers and birds in relief.
