A 'YIXING' GILT-DECORATED TIBETAN-STYLE EWER AND COVER, DUOMU HU

the hexagonal sides decorated to the exterior with three bands of gilt leafy prunus sprigs with a large ear-shaped loop handle, the round cover surmounted by a gilt button finial
Height 17.6 cm, 7 in.

Condition Report:
The spout has chipped off, with some white residue remaining to the area where the spout would meet the body. There are also wear and general losses to the gilding throughout. The interior rim of the cover has two chips (the larger ca. 2.4 x 0.4 cm). The cover may have been associated and there is a five character inscription to the base reading 'yong zheng wu nian zhi' (made in the fifth year of the Yongzheng reign).
