mid 19th century

approximately 195 by 164cm; 6ft. 5in., 5ft. 5in.

Condition Report:
(Rug is woven in the other orientation from the illustration in the printed catalogue and is orientated correctly online. Condition report refers to online image). Pile overall good, variable from 5mm to 2 mm. Gentle oxidisation to the dark browns. To left of bottom green medallion there is small area of cobbled repair with small amount of repiling. Outermost red and white barber pole narrow guard band removed and sides reovercast. Small reweave to tip of top left corner, Original flatweave, trimmed warps, secured with tape at one end and overlocked at the other. Lustrous wool.
