A beautiful Egyptian bicolor ushabti for Mutenipt, 3rd Intermediate period, 21st Dynasty, c. 1075 - 945 BC, mummiform, wearing lappet wig with looped fillet, arms folded at chest and hand holding hoes, netted bag at center of back and vertical column of hieroglyphic text down the front of the torso and legs. 3 1/8 in (8.3 cm). A lovely example even with the losses to lower end. Ex collection of Maj. James Findlay, Scotland, acquired in the 1950's-60's, thence by descent.
