A beautiful Greek black glazed pouring vessel

A beautiful Greek black glazed pouring vessel, South Italian, c. 4th Century BC, with tall, braided handle, the rounded shoulders adorned with incised vine motive, an applique of a woman's head in relief opposite the spout, which is in the form of a lion's head. 10 x 8 in (25.4 x 20.3 cm). A scarcer pottery form and well-preserved with some mineral encrustation/calcification and a few tiny areas of surface loss. Ex John Schaeffer estate, FL.
