A black and gilt chinoiserie painted chest of drawers, circa 1825 and later, 101cm high, 121cm wide, 52cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use,The handles are replaced throughout, - there are old holes to the drawer fronts, visible from the inside of the drawers but masked by the current plate handlesThere are some areas of the surfaces that have been raised and have a textured, granular feel and appearance. The surface decoration appears to have been later applied overall, the gilt areas certainly refreshed and the raised areas also probably not original.
